Cod.: OLI0621

DESCRIPTION:
Willy Jervis, an engineer at Olivetti in Ivrea, is an important figure in partisan history, especially in the valleys of Piedmont. After 8 September 1943, he formed the first partisan groups in Ivrea. As a wanted man, he went into hiding, joined the Partito d’Azione and, thanks to his mountaineering skills, helped groups of Jews and Anglo-American prisoners to expatriate to Switzerland. Captured, imprisoned and tortured in 1944, he was murdered by Nazi fascists.
