Robinson Crusoe

Cod.: STR0006

DESCRIPTION:
This publication is one of the Strenna editions that Olivetti began producing in 1972 as Christmas gifts: a series of celebrated literary masterpieces, illustrated using specially commissioned drawings by contemporary artists.
Robinson Crusoe, a novel whose full title is “The Life and Strange Adventures of Robinson Crusoe”, was first published on 25 April 1719 and is considered the forerunner of the modern adventure novel.
Tullio Pericoli’s collaboration with Olivetti on the drawings that illustrate this publication marked an important milestone in his career as an artist, in which landscapes became increasingly important in his pieces.
