DESCRIPTION:
The volume is a special edition of the famous Olivetti Strenna books.
The formal tradition is interrupted with a non-fiction work, a collection of thoughts and not by a modern author but rather the absolute Renaissance icon that Leonardo da Vinci represents.
It was published on the occasion of the completion of the restoration of the artist’s masterpiece painting, “The Last Supper”, in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan.
The restoration lasted twenty years, and Olivetti contributed uninterrupted support to it, from the first to the last day. In addition to taking on the entire burden of the costs, the company also dedicated assistance, an assiduity of presence and a commitment that allowed the many difficulties of one of the most tricky, problematic and long processes that the restoration of a painting has ever entailed to be overcome.
