DESCRIPTION
The poster, in which Fernando Maza’s graphics propose a balanced chromatic contrast and a particular geometric composition, pays homage to the titanic invention of writing, one of man’s greatest achievements. At the same time, the basic message about portable typewriters remains one of freedom: a portable typewriter can be used anywhere. Giovanni Ferioli’s claim, “The civilisation of writing”, summarises the beauty and strength of Olivetti’s cultural message.
