Re-Play
A Reinterpreted Collection
Registrations open until February 18, 2024
Do you want to participate in the creation of an exhibition?
Understand how to choose the theme, the artworks, and how to set up the space of a museum?
And then, do you want to tell the public who will visit why you chose those works and what they evoke in you? Memories, emotions, dreams…
Join the Re-Play call, the curatorial format that proposes participatory reinterpretations of museum collections and archives by citizens. In 2024, the focus will be on the collection of the Olivetti Historical Archive Association. Starting from the preserved works, participants will first be introduced to them and will oversee all stages of creating an exhibition: from identifying the theme and title to choosing artifacts, and finally, arranging the exhibition, all the result of collective curatorial work.
This journey will be accompanied by the theatrical biography process through which participants will narrate the exhibited works to the public based on their own experiences: performative moments that will bring the works to life, contributing to giving them a “renewed meaning.”
The program is curated by Lorena Tadorni, an art curator active in audience participation and accessibility, and Maria Grazia Agricola, an expert in Community Theater pathways.
Recommended age: +15
Weekly meetings: one per week, Monday afternoons from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Olivetti Historical Archive Association, Via Miniere 31, Ivrea.
Start of meetings: Monday, March 4, 2024, until the beginning of the exhibition (May)
