The Olivetti Historical Archive Association presents the virtual exhibition “Olivetti, #StoriaDiInnovazione,” created in collaboration with TIM Innovation, which, as part of TIM Enterprise, is engaged in developing Mixed Reality (virtual and augmented reality) solutions to enhance the country’s cultural and museum heritage.

The project, technically led by experts from TIM and Olivetti in a broader collaborative effort, has integrated the knowledge and enhancement strategies of the historical and documentary heritage preserved by the Olivetti Historical Archive Association. This was made possible by the active participation of several members of the Association, who selected and conveyed the content for the narrative built within the “Innoverse LAB” solution by TIM Enterprise.
The experience, which takes the form of a high-resolution virtual tour, allows users to rediscover 6 iconic products from Olivetti’s history (Lettera 22, Divisumma 24, ELEA 9003, Programma 101, Valentine, and the Personal Computer M20) through historic advertisements, photos of designers and engineers, and 3D models of the products themselves, designed to be explored in detail through adaptive zoom.
Alongside the products, there is a dedicated corner for the figures of Adriano and Camillo Olivetti, with a video created by Territori Svelati for the Associazione Spille d’Oro Olivetti. The exhibition also includes various cultural activities of the Olivetti Historical Archive Association, presented by holograms of experts, recorded on green screens and integrated into the metaverse. Additionally, there is an entire area dedicated to a selection of Olivetti architectures from the “Ivrea, Città Industriale del XX Secolo” site. These are represented by historic photos, offering visitors the chance to click on the static images and view their modern 3D representations, created using a special 8K resolution camera.
