Turismo industriale in Italia (Industrial Tourism in Italy)

Cod.: ASO0813

DESCRIPTION:
This publication, in its second edition, is an overview of the main Italian business archives and museums that are open to the public throughout Italy. It highlights and encourages interest in those cultural structures that, as a direct expression of the economic activity of a company, a district or a manufacturing tradition that is closely connected to the region (such as, for example, the historical archives of Fiat, Olivetti and Pirelli, and the Barilla, Alfa Romeo, Ducati, Alessi and Borsalino Museums, etc.), are emblematic embodiments of Italy’s substantial culture and of Italian ingenuity and industriousness across a wide range of manufacturing sectors. Complementing the descriptions of the museums are a series of suggestions for interesting sights around each one; these suggestions, complete with practical information for visiting, add a delightful touristic flavour to the collection. Finally, the guide ends with a comprehensive directory of Italian corporate museum establishments sorted by product group.
